Highland Dancing medal, and sweet DD

My daughter placed 4th in her last Highland dancing competition. They give out little medals for such a thing. While she was thrilled with the medal, she *had* to do something with it. So I had to get her to the bead store. The lady there was very sweet. And DD was so serious about choosing her beads! For an instant there, I had the impression that the lady and DD were two adults, and not one adult / one child.

Anyway, after thinking it thoroughly, this is what DD made, with almost no help from mom ( I tied the elastic tight at the end)


The colours do match in real life. The medal is off colour in the picture. Weird.
