The tough side of socialisation

As mentionned in my first post, my DD is part of a gymnastics team. Her team just started training together, mainly 5 and 6 years old. Two girls go to school together, 3 go to another school, and then DD homeschools. The group of two girls doesn't talk to anyone else, the group of 3 girls doesn't talk to anyone else either, so DD is left all alone. On Wednesday, she cried after her training session. Thankfully, her coach saw it, and inquired. Today, they had a little talk, and a group hug. Those school girls are properly socialised, right?

And then, you have the 13 yo girl team who's all on MSN. Supposedly, they had some nasty nasty MSN exchanges, including serious threats for which any adult could go to prison. Nice team! I just want to join up! Now these girls live in a rich part of town, they all attend great schools. And yet this still happens???? Makes me rethink my girl's participation in such a sport....

Where's that wig? I'll need it soon. I'm pulling my hair again. (I do start with the grey hair first)
